POW! By Candice Wyatt-Minter using Davines

Introducing the POW Collection, a group of colourful images inspired by the pop art movement. Candice Wyatt-Minter utilises Davines products and a modern lens to explore our rapidly growing consumerism and dependence on social media using traditional pop art aesthetics. Candice largely references the imagery of Sigmar Polke and Roy Liechtenstein, particularly their iconic female subjects who were simultaneously revered and objectified in these artistic works. Beyond these design inspirations, the collection pays homage to intricate geometric patterns of African Shweshwe fabric, referencing traditional Sotho clothing to showcase the important role of African culture within Candice’s design aesthetic. These aesthetic elements were conveyed through vivid backgrounds, pops of colour within the hair, bright clothing and bold patterns, dual-toned hair hues and variously wearable and experimental hair cuts and styles. Plenty to be inspired by. View the collection below.
